TIS Policies & Procedures
Fee Policies
- A fee of BDT 500 is required for the admission form at the time of application. The admission fee is non-refundable and due at the time of admission.
- Payment deadline: 7th of each current month.
- Late payment:
- BDT 100 if paid after the 10th.
- BDT 200 per week for further delays. Early full tuition payment: 5% discount on annual fees.
- Scholarship eligibility: Meritorious students from Grade 2 onwards.
- Sibling discount: 20% on admission and tuition fees for all siblings.
- Additional program fees apply where necessary.
- Stationery fees are non-refundable.
- The school reserves the right to update the Fee Policy at any time.
Discipline Policies
Classroom Policy:
- Books and exercise copies must be well-maintained; no torn or untidy materials allowed.
- Parents should help ensure students bring the correct books as per the routine.
- Students must obey teachers’ instructions and submit C.W. & H.W. on time.
- English must be spoken inside the classroom.
- If absent, parents must collect classwork and homework.
- Promotion is based on passing verbal and written exams, along with classroom performance.
- Class routines are not provided to parents of Playgroup & Nursery students.
Admission Policy:
- Students must follow teachers’ instructions.
- More than 2 hours of screen time disqualifies students from the ‘Hifz’ program.
- Violent behavior results in termination after 2 warnings.
- Parents must regularly assist with homework and assignments.
- No combination of discounts is allowed.
Attendance Policy:
- Elementary School: 90% attendance required.
- Junior School: 80% attendance required.
- Students failing to meet the attendance requirement will not be allowed to sit for exams.
Late Policy:
- 3 days of tardiness equals 1 day absent.
- School gates close 15 minutes after the start of school.
Behavior Policy:
- Bullying results in suspension for the next 2 classes.
- Foul language is a violation of the school’s behavior policy.
Policies Inside School Premises:
- Parents must behave appropriately at all times.
- Students are required to speak English.
- No verbal complaints; complaint forms will be provided.
- No gifts allowed between students or teachers.
- Boys must address girls as sisters, and girls must address boys as brothers.
- Destruction of school assets will require compensation.
Tiffin Policies
From KG onwards, students must bring 3 sets of healthy tiffin.
